Clinical expertise. Personal attention. Independent advice.

From a standard eye test to specialist myopia management, we offer a full range of optometric services at both our Nedlands and Innaloo practices.

Eye Examinations

A comprehensive eye examination is the foundation of everything we do. We do not rush.

Standard Eye Test

20 to 30 minutesNil cost (Medicare)$80 non-residents

Our standard test includes assessment of your vision at various distances, eye muscle coordination, and internal eye health. For eligible Medicare card holders, standard eye tests are bulk billed once every two years.

Eye Test Plus Digital Retina Scan

30 minutesGap fee $70Nedlands only

Standard test plus a wide-field digital image of your retina. Helps detect eye disease early and, in some cases, identify general health issues that show in the retina. Recommended if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of eye disease.

Eye Test Plus OCT Scan

40 minutesGap fee $95

Optical Coherence Tomography looks deep beneath the visible surface of the eye to reveal hidden layers. Essential for early detection of glaucoma and macular disease. If anyone in your family has glaucoma, regular OCT scans are particularly important.

Diabetic Eye Test

Gap fee $95

Diabetes can damage the blood vessels in the retina without causing symptoms until vision is already affected. We use digital imaging and OCT to monitor diabetic eye health. Recommended annually for all patients with diabetes.

Macular Degeneration Eye Test

Gap fee $95

Age-related macular degeneration is the leading cause of vision loss in Australians over 50. Early detection through OCT and digital imaging allows us to monitor changes and act before vision is affected.

Glaucoma Eye Test

Gap fee $95

Glaucoma is a silent disease. It causes no symptoms until it is very advanced, by which time permanent vision loss has occurred. Regular examinations with OCT and visual field analysis allow us to detect glaucoma in its early stages.

Contact Lens Consultation

$150/year (no Medicare)$75 gap (Medicare)

Includes an eye test, assessment of your suitability for contact lenses, help choosing the best type for your needs, and assistance with inserting and removing lenses for first-time wearers. We have access to all contact lens manufacturers and designs.

Ortho-K (Orthokeratology)

See clearly all day. No glasses. No daytime contacts. No surgery.

Ortho-K uses specially designed overnight lenses to gently reshape your cornea while you sleep. When you remove them in the morning, your vision is clear for the rest of the day. The effect is temporary; wear the lenses every night and the correction holds.

Ortho-K is suitable for children and teenagers with progressive myopia, adults with mild to moderate myopia, and active individuals who find glasses or daytime contacts inconvenient.

The Process

  • Assessment: corneal topography and eye health check
  • Fitting: custom lenses ordered to your measurements
  • First morning: most patients notice improved vision immediately
  • Follow-up: regular monitoring to ensure corneal health

Myopia Control

Myopia in children is increasing. By 2050, half the world's population is expected to be myopic. We can help slow progression.

Ortho-K Overnight Lenses

Shown to reduce myopia progression by approximately 50%. The lens design sends an optical "stop signal" to the eyeball to slow growth.

Low-Concentration Atropine Drops

Shown to slow myopia progression by up to 60%. Applied nightly before bed.

Myopia-Control Spectacle Lenses

Special spectacle lens designs shown to reduce progression by up to 60%.

Axial Length Tracking

We use the Nidek AL-M biometer to measure the axial length of the eyeball, giving the most accurate indication of growth rate and treatment effectiveness.

Dry Eye Treatment (E-Eye IPL)

Long-term relief for dry, irritated eyes.

E-Eye IPL dry eye treatment

Dry eye affects 20% of Australian adults. The most common cause is meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), where the oil-producing glands along the eyelids become blocked or underactive. Artificial tears provide temporary relief but do not restore gland function.

Our E-Eye Intense Pulsed Light treatment uses precisely calibrated light pulses to stimulate gland activity and unblock oil ducts. Each session takes approximately 10 minutes. A full course is four treatments.

Eighty-six percent of patients report satisfaction after three sessions.
